Who will be first?

In just one week, we have had two applications. However, neither application was complete. We need two things:

1. An original blog post
   Both submitted blog posts were awesome!
2. An original 60-second video posted to YouTube
   In one case, there was no video and in the other case, there was a link to a 2:33 minute family video posted to a private gallery.

We've let both applicants know that we are looking for an original video to go with their application. We are excited to see what they come back with.

We know putting an application video together takes time, but we feel that it is extremely important to find someone who can communicate in both words and video. We also want the video posted to YouTube so we can embed the file on the Verity Mom blog and also to make sure that potential Verity Moms can post videos on their own.

We've also had lots of moms signing up for e-updates, leaving blog comments and chiming in on the forum. If you are hanging back not wanting to be the first to apply, we would recommend that you rethink your strategy. Early applicants have a big advantage because they will be able to rally their supporters and get a lot of early comments and create buzz.
