Don't make me count to three

Recently my niece enlightened me with her effective strategies for getting what you want. She shared some revealing information about the complicated minds of our cunning little creatures. The girl is whip smart and completely adorable. But our conversation left me feeling like I might need to spread the word to my fellow moms (and dads) -- produce a Verity Mom public service announcement of sorts! 

It suffices to say these kids are WAY ahead of us and believe it or not, she's actually given me an appreciation for the straight forwardness of a time-honored tantrum.
