Applicant #57: Julie Weise
Julie Weise is a mom from Gig Harbor.
My video application:
A bit about me:
My name is Julie. I am a 40 year old mother of 4 beautiful children. We live in gig Harbor, WA. I’ve been married to my husband; Michael for 7 years. We are a blended family. I was able to maintain a great friendship with my children’s biological father and look forward to sharing some insight into living apart, yet still co-parenting effectively. I love to make hand made greeting cards, finding great deals, cooking and traveling.
Some of my great role models have been my mom and my dad. My mom was in the banking industry for years and she taught me the value of money. She also taught me that you have to work hard and save for your future. My Dad has also taught me that if you want something to go after it and it can be yours. My Dad (or as I refer to him, Captain Frugal) LOL was always a penny pincher. I use to sometimes just roll my eyes at him at some of the things that he would do to save a buck here and there. I’m not rolling my eyes any more now that I see the fruits of his labor. He was able to retire early and have his house paid free and clear in only 8 years. He is young and his future has never looked brighter.
It’s such an exciting time with all the new technology being introduced! All the new inventive ways we can stay in touch and reach out to other moms. I am thrilled to be considered as a possible candidate for this role as the new voice of Verity Mom. I have some fun and creative ideas that I would love to introduce if I can chosen as the next Verity Mom which include discussions on helping out in the community, random acts of kindness, family traditions, recipes, couponing, co-parenting, and fun things you can do with your family.
My blog post:
As a little girl, I always knew that I wanted to have children. Life threw me a curveball when I was 24 and I ended up with cancer and lost the ability to have more children. Through it all, I never lost faith. I know God has a plan for my life and I trust in Him to guide me through life’s ups and downs. The new perspective that it gave me on life has been amazing. Life is full of surprises, with left and right turns, but it’s how we learn to laugh at ourselves and ride the waves and they come in that’s important.

Julie,
I too am part of a blended family. I was blessed with one child of my own and 4 additional when I married my husband. We have 8 grandchildren. I don't refer to my kids or grandchildren as "steps" as we are all part of one big happy family. I am a follower of your blog Ready Set Stamp, and I love y our work and your videos!! Thanks so much for sharing.
