A Festivus Octopus
Back in the 90's, there was an episode of Seinfeld that talked about Festivus, the Celebration for the Rest of Us.
Now seems like a good time for our house to instate a Festivus celebration. Even though Seattle isn't world renowned for its diversity, we will hosting a winter party for Buddhist, Christian, Pagan, Atheist, Jewish and Muslim friends. Question is, how to decorate for it?
Sea creatures. I'm going to cover my house with sea creatures and have both all and none of my bases covered. Roo, GG (Grandma Georgia) and I used this as our inspiration.
Now, for a kosher, paleo, vegan, hallal, allergen separated, gluten-free menu....

So, I shared this with my friends, and now we're all hunting down waterballoons and pipecleaners to make our own Festivus Octopii!! This is awesome, Danielle. But one question - where would we find water balloons in December? I took a peek while in a big store the other day, but couldn't find any... :(
(Pipecleaners were challenging too, but I figure a craft store will carry those.)
